This is the debut recording by Paquito Hechavarria, a 74-year old Cuban pianist who just recorded his debut album supported by the most respected members of Jazz and Latin Jazz music styles, among them Dafnis Prieto (drums), Andy González (contrabass), Phil Woods (sax) and many other stars. Paquito, an unknown artist for mainstream audiences but praised by music connoisseurs and music critics alike, was the pianist who played piano ‘tumbao’ in Gloria Estefan’s hit Conga.
