Linux Mint 10 is based on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, takes advantage of the kernel Linux 2.6.35, X.org 7.5, and GNOME 2.32. The new version of the new user interface, in particular, start menu, and the Welcome screen now allows you to immediately install additional proprietary codecs or update your distribution to a full DVD-version.
